THE definition of cute

So, what is new with Avery...

Well, she loves to pull her toys out of the toy basket, loves to talk on her cell phone, loves cups, loved her play area we made with the footlockers we were packing in at our duplex, loves mirrors, loves to pull herself up and cruise along any and all surfaces, and for a while she loved to stick out her tongue :)

Time to play catch up...

I am so very grateful to have a laptop again! Now it is time to catch everyone up on the last few months with some pictures and video of our cutie! She is still not lacking in the love department. It is such a joy to watch her learn new skills everyday. She is quickly becoming more mobile and is starting to let us know her feelings about things.

Whew, what a month!

Avery has been such a trooper over the last month. We have packed up our duplex, sold off most of our belongings, moved into the Martyn's home, traveled 1000s of miles in the car, and finally catching our breath while in Charlotte for most of October.
She has been up and around for awhile now. It has been neat seeing her explore the world. While we were packing up our duplex we made an Avery safe area using the trunks we will use to move to Africa with. She loved pulling herself up to standing and "walking" her way around her play area.
She really found her voice and talks to us all day long. She recently found her g's and has been saying dada and mama. Though she is just making sounds, when she says mama and dada it melts our hearts :)
Hopefully soon I can upload some recent pictures of our growing gal to share with you all.

Another week another skill...

Avery has learned to pull herself up. Tonight we put her to bed only to hear some intense crying a few minutes later. When we went in we found her standing up! I was very tempted to run and get the camera but thought the flash might not be the best right then :) I will try and get some video of her pulling up soon to post.

I almost forgot to mention that on Sunday evening Avery learned to sit up by herself. It made for a "fun" night of her sitting up and crying throughout the night. I am busy teaching her how to lay back down after she sits up so we all can sleep better!
