Though we are an ocean away life is getting back into a normal rhythm... Dad's back with his computer set up, tons of footlockers to play with and cruise along, parents still adoring Avery's every move, and taking way too many pictures of her!

And it begins...

After many months of planning we set off on our family's adventures in Africa! Here is a glimpse into our long journey to get here.

What a joy it was to celebrate Avery's birthday a few months early with our whole family! She had a cake that she found too beautiful to mess up, thanks Grandma Martyn!

More new skills

How could I forget to mention Avery's new skills of playing the piano, climbing stairs, being some what okay around dogs, and loving her mesh feeder to gnaw on while teething!

Generations of Love

It is such a huge blessing that Avery has many generations of loving family who are here to pray and support her! Here are some pics with her Great Grandmas!

Trip to Tulsa

Here are some pictures of Avery visiting Granddad Rounds at his office, Grandma Rounds feeding her some good lunch, and out catching up and grabbing a coffee with Aunty Steph.

Another month to catch up...

Let's see where to begin. Avery has advanced to being able to walk while only holding onto someone with one hand. She sometimes will eat a piece of finger food. She easily stands up and crawls and cruises faster and faster each day. She has learned the art of posing and will laugh along with us. She can nod yes and no, even though she has no idea what she is doing she loves the response she gets. She BEGAN SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!! She made a few moves and is temporarily settling into life in Nairobi for a few months and making friends with all she meets. Through her smiles and waves she easily breaks the ice for her parents. She quickly adjusted to Nairobi time and is once again sleeping through the night. Other than a bad case of diaper rash she hasn't gotten ill since we have been here! This is a huge praise and a surprise as she gets touched by pretty much everyone we walk by. Now for some pictures and possibly a video if we can get good internet speed for a bit.

Avery is amazing us each day! Today she stood on her own three times!!! Any day now she will be up and walking!
