Thank you again to everyone who has sent us a care package. Though most are for Avery we get a kick out of opening them too! Here she is enjoying her birthday package from Grandmum and Granddad Rounds. She LOVES it all!!!! It is hard to get her out of the princess tent, and if she sees the angel outfit she has to put it on! :) Just yesterday she told me to sit down at the kitchen table and cooked me up some dinner in her little kitchen. What service!

Our little climber can be found up on almost any surface in our home now. Whew, and I was beginning to think things would slow down a bit.

Catch up time....

What have we been up to lately....let's see. Well, back in January we had the spiritual life conference for our Sudan team. There was a great child-care team that had crafts and fun activities for Avery. She did really really well this time around so Mom was able to enjoy the conference herself! :)

And it begins...

We have officially entered the "mine!" stage. May the Lord help us through it! Sunday morning Avery through the worst fit she has ever had, thankfully we were both at home so we had each other to get through it. Once she was over it she has been her normal fun self.
On a more positive note she has been saying longer sentences and bringing up things in the recent past and talking to us about them. Some of what she says we understand but when she really gets going she starts speaking Averyese. :)

2 year check up

Today was Avery's two-year check up. She is now...drum roll please....25.08 pounds! That is in the 30th percentile!!! She is packing on the pounds! She is also 33 1/4 inches which puts her at 50th percentile for height, her normal.
She is also getting in two of her two year molars and her second canine tooth, oh the joys of teething.

Avery helped me make some play-dough. She decided to taste it and it was a bit to salty for her taste. After she got a drink of water she kindly offered some to the play-dough.

3000!

Yesterday I was talking to Avery about her upcoming birthday. I asked her how old she was going to be and she replied, "3000!" "Wow," I said, "that is a lot!" Avery then said, "Yeah! I know!!!" while putting her hand on her chest for emphasis. Thankfully she repeated her little performance for Dad a bit later on. :) Wish I could get it on film.
