Best dressed little gal

A big thank you to everyone sending the cutest clothes for Avery! I still think she is the most adorable little gal in Malakal, even when she is in her birthday suit cooling off in her "pool" :)
edit- the busted lip was from falling off a bed when we overnighted in Loki on our way back into Malakal.

Beep Beep!

Our little helper!

Here is our little helper helping Daddy with his fantasy football draft prep and then helping Mommy in the kitchen (the blurry red things on her arms are oven mitts)!

Nap time!

Avery loves playing nap time with her dolls, stuffed animals, crayons, even her stroller! Usually she just puts the item on the floor and tries to cover it with a blanket or piece of paper. She will then tell us, "Shhhh, sleeping". Lately she has taken to grabbing a pillow and her current favorite blanket and snuggling in for a pretend nap.

Finally a video update...

Ginna and I took the kids to a play place (think playground at chik-fil-a x3) attached to a Nakumatt (think Super Walmart) in an area of town popular with British ex-pats (i.e. super posh). They had a great time in the ball pit and a big kid slide, but only got video of them on a slide more their size. Enjoy!

Daddy's girl

We recently went to a little bakery near our flat for dinner and found that they had a little bit of green space for Avery to run around in! We will definitely be going back! Enjoy these pics of our cute girl having fun with Daddy!

Just a glimpse...

Here is Avery enjoying her stroller while waiting for us to get ready for church last Sunday. Yes, she was giving a water bottle a ride in the stroller and then sat in it herself. She can only push herself backwards and makes the "beep...beep" sound big trucks make while reversing. Once again I have to mention that we have the cutest little gal ever!

Business at Brackenhurst

We made a trip out to Brackenhurst to wrap up some details about the conference we are helping plan. Avery got to try out a big girl swing while we were there. She is getting so big! She also loved the slide though I was too busy trying to make sure she wouldn't fly off of it to get any pics of video. :)

Thanksgiving in August!

We are at the end of "winter" time in Kenya and to make good use of the cold weather we thought we should have a Thanksgiving in August! The Killorens were able to come and celebrate with us as well!
