Bedside table transformed to jungle gym...

She is quite the little creative one. She loves trying to squeeze into things around the flat and this was one of her latest experiments. I also have to mention that she is trying to let us know her opinions on things. For awhile she has been very demanding when she wants to wear her shoes inside or some other "accessory" like Dad's belt or Mom's watch. This particular day she wanted to wear socks, oh and no pants! She kept pulling them off! Crazy times with Avery!

Our little girl is starting to talk!

Over the last week or so Avery is copying our words more and more. This morning Avery walked over to her high chair, looked at me and made the sign for eat while saying "foo" for food! She also has started to say "dank dou" after we hand her a sippy cup or a toy for thank you! She is also starting to give hugs to her little friends! We are enjoying neck hugs and leg hugs as seen in this pic.

Another week another skill...

Avery had quite the day today! It was like all of a sudden she decided to start copying the words we say, pointing at everything and saying a few new words. To top it off she actually fed herself with a spoon! She is such an easy going gal that she hasn't put up a fuss to feed herself, to which I am thank for the easier clean up, but decided to give it a try today. I didn't get video but wish I did. She was so happy and proud of her latest skill. She also did a few other picture worthy things today that I will try to post tomorrow.

Introducing DJ Avery Bug!

It is a bit tiresome trying to keep a semi-baby proof home with a very techie husband not wanting to always keep his stuff stored away. So sometimes when he isn't around and Avery gets into his stuff we have a bit of fun. Here are some pics from today when Avery tried out being a DJ. :)

building up the immune system

There is a little garden (grass area) in our complex that kids play in. Avery loves being outside and enjoys making friends. She also loves building up her immune system there. So far I have dug out of her mouth a bit of chicken bone, a bit of ballon, and most recently a handful of dirt! So far she has been healthy and I pray that trend continues.

So, I admit it, I played dress up with Avery. Here is a pic of her putting up with me trying to pose her for a good shot. I think she is doing the Taylor fake smile here :)

Typical Avery Day...

Here are some pics of a typical day in the life of Avery!
Her day is full of accessorizing, note Dad's belt was a particular favorite for awhile. Also having one shoe on is a common thing. She loves to play in the kitchen and has her Avery safe zone of plastic containers.
Another little girl in the flats recently was playing with a stroller for her doll and Avery found her umbrella stroller under our bed and tried to pull it out! So out came the stroller for her to take tours of our flat as well as for her to keep some toys in.
She is getting so smart! She loves to stack her blocks and put things in and out of her purse or other containers!
Thankfully, she is eating more and more, her most recent "new" food was grilled cheese!
She loves going outside in the afternoons when the other kids at our complex get back from school she makes new friends quite easily!
So that plus a lot of running around and trying to eat paint that is peeling off a part of our wall is a typical day in the life of Avery.
Oh and she has learned how to flush the toilet and has started to reach in the toilet bowl but we have been lucky enough to grab her before she does that.
