Typical Avery Day...

Here are some pics of a typical day in the life of Avery!
Her day is full of accessorizing, note Dad's belt was a particular favorite for awhile. Also having one shoe on is a common thing. She loves to play in the kitchen and has her Avery safe zone of plastic containers.
Another little girl in the flats recently was playing with a stroller for her doll and Avery found her umbrella stroller under our bed and tried to pull it out! So out came the stroller for her to take tours of our flat as well as for her to keep some toys in.
She is getting so smart! She loves to stack her blocks and put things in and out of her purse or other containers!
Thankfully, she is eating more and more, her most recent "new" food was grilled cheese!
She loves going outside in the afternoons when the other kids at our complex get back from school she makes new friends quite easily!
So that plus a lot of running around and trying to eat paint that is peeling off a part of our wall is a typical day in the life of Avery.
Oh and she has learned how to flush the toilet and has started to reach in the toilet bowl but we have been lucky enough to grab her before she does that.

I love her outfit in these pics and when I was looking through some recent pics and came across these they really jumped out at me because Avery looks like a toddler. I guess that is a good thing since she is one, but man time is flying by!

Happy 14 months Avery!!!

So very hard to believe that our little baby isn't really a little baby anymore! I think she knew that she turned 14 months today and decided that it was time to declare her growing independence. She is now throwing tantrums when I take something away from her, like a broom she decided tasted great. These are full on tantrums with tears at times. Today she even said "MOW" her version of no. I thought I would have a few more months before all of this started! :) She still is a cutie and for the most part is still a very sweet little lady!

Hydration is key

Avery is loving her newest drink bottle....a real water bottle with the screw on sippy cap! She finally is able to drink from the bottles she has loved and played with for so long! In other BIG news she actually kept her sippy cup on her tray during a meal!!!! She even tries to put it in the cup holder part of her tray! I love how proud she looks in this picture. Right after it was taken she promptly threw it on the floor, oh well.

First Haircut!!!

On Thursday Dad was cutting his hair before his trip and Mom had to trim the back. That gave her the nerves to try and trim Avery's hair. Since she is a girl always on the move, pardon the shot from the back. She even helped clean up...okay not really, she did "help" sweep up her breakfast crumbs.

What a busy gal!

Avery has been very busy and keeping me very busy! She is becoming a pro at getting on and off her truck, climbing on boxes, learning how to get off chairs by sliding off, drinking milk!, digging around her her cabinet and pulling out all the plastic containers, learning new sounds...ooohhhh is her favorite one. Just yesterday she mimicked Dad and said uh oh!
